The Porsche Road Safety Program for Schools sponsored by Porsche Centre Kuwait, Behbehani Motors Company, launched their new fleet of Porsche Boxter pedal cars at the Qadsiya Sports Club this week. A total of 40 Porsche pedal cars were put through their paces at the indoor circuit as the children from Qadsiya School and Al Ghanim Bilingual School familiarised themselves with the four ‘Golden Rules’ of Road Safety. Everyone began by ‘clicking’ seatbelts and making sure to keep arms and head inside the car with two hands on the steering wheel and two feet on the pedals.
The importance of keeping a safe distance between cars and showing respect to other road users was successfully demonstrated and the children took turns to cross the road at the pedestrian crossing, holding hands, looking and listening and waiting for a safe gap in the traffic. Negotiating the bends and U-turns, rocking ramp, tunnel and roundabout proved to be a fun filled and challenging experience thoroughly enjoyed by all. The children also promised to remind all the grown up drivers of the importance of not using mobiles whilst driving! At the conclusion of their visit the children received their Porsche ‘Goody Bags’ with activity book, parents guide, Porsche drivers license and certificate.
This program takes place at Qadsiya Sports Club Basketball Hall Sunday to Thursday mornings and is available free of charge to all schools, suitable for children aged from 3 to 8 years of age. Schools, nurseries and community groups interested in booking a visit are invited to contact the program co ordinator Aisha on 99824775 or email; firstname.lastname@example.org
